HOUSE OF CHARITY/BISHOP'S APPEAL 2019

"YOU DID IT FOR ME"
The Diocese of Camden has launch the Annual House of Charity/Bishop's Appeal. Our parish goal this year is $50,514.00 which is a 1% increase from last year.

Thanks to your generosity, Mary, Queen of All Saints Parish, did very well in 2018 with a goal of $49,767.58, parishioners contributed over $54,000.00.
We recently received a check from the diocese for $4,976.00 (10% of our goal) and will receive another check for 75% of all pledges paid over our goal. I am very grateful to the 150 families that participated in the 2018 campaign and encourage them to participate again this year.

I remind you the House of Charity/Bishop's Appeal supports people to people ministries that serve the South Jersey Community today. Monies that raised in this fiscal year are expended next fiscal year. Without the House of Charity/Bishop's Appeal the Diocese could not fulfill the mission that Christ gave us to care for His people. The House of Charity/Bishop's Appeal supports many important Christian works in our diocese.

FAITHFULL FOOD DRIVE-APRIL 7TH
Here is South Jersey 1 in 6 people suffer from food insecurity, which means they might not know where their next meal is coming from. In response, the Diocese of Camden is organizing the 6th FaithFULL Food Drive on Sunday, April 7th. Every parish in our diocese will collect food for local pantries and the Community Food Bank of South Jersey.

Our parish food pantry "Fishes and Loaves" receives a lot of food from the Food Bank each month. Fishes and Loaves pantry is open every Saturday from 10:00 11:30am. Pennsauken residents receive assistance 2 times a month. Our pantry assists nearly 200 families a month.

All of the food collected here at Mary, Queen of All Saints Parish, will stay at the Fishes and Loaves Pantry. They are really in need of TUNA OR ANY
CANNED MEATS/FISH, CANNED PASTA (Spaghetti O's, Ravioli's, etc.) CANNED FRUIT, TEA BAGS, JELLY. (All non-perishable and monetary donations are also greatly appreciated. In 2017 our parish collected 750 pounds of food and in 2018 they collected over 2000 pounds!
Let's reach for 2500 pounds!

LITURGICAL MINISTRIES!
I invite all parishioners to consider being involved in one of the liturgical ministries during our masses. We are in need of Lectors and Eucharistic
Ministers. Please consider being more involved in our Eucharistic celebrations.

If you would like more information please contact Father Ed at the Rectory.

STEWARDSHIP
Stewardship Doers
"Be doers of the word and not hearers only…" (JAMES 1:22)

It is easy to understand the definition of Stewardship. The hard part is living it! What do you do to live God's word? Do you share your time in prayer with God? Do you use your talent to help those in need? Are you generous with your financial resources? If not, what are you waiting for?

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Religious Education registration forms are at the Parish House from 9:00am to 4:00pm during the week or by calling the Religious Education Office at 661-9489.

FISHES & LOAVES FOOD PANTRY
As the cold weather takes hold our food pantry could use donations of canned soup, stews, hot chocolate, instant oatmeal and also jelly. We accept all non-perishable items and donations can be left in the pantry    box at the church entrance.

Ongoing Activities:

NEED SACRAMENTS OR INTERESTED IN THE CATHOLIC FAITH?
Perhaps you have been coming to Mass with a relative or friend and have considered becoming Catholic. Perhaps you did not receive all of your Sacraments as a child in the normal course. Perhaps you know someone like this that is spiritually searching? We have just the right program for you! It is called the Rite of Christian for Adults (R.C.I.A.).

Any adult can investigate and proceed to prepare for the reception of the Sacraments in the Catholic Church in a personal and relaxed manner through this program. Please call the rectory for more information.
