HOLIDAY CHRISTMAS CONCERT - December 18th - 3:00PM
Mary, Queen of All Saints Music Ministry invites you to attend our free Christmas concert which we will be presented on Sunday, December 18, at 3:00pm in the Church. Take a break from the hectic holiday shopping and the same old "holiday" songs, and listen to music that harkens to the true meaning of Christmas. Please come out and support our ministry. Bring your families and friends as well.
Now through January 29, 2017 the Fundraising Committee will be selling chances after all of the Masses for a GIANT 50/50 WINTER RAFFLE.
The chances will be $5.00 each and the drawing will be held on January 29th at Noon.
These chances would make a great stocking stuffer. Or if you win you could pay off your Christmas Bills. Your odds for winning this are better than the lottery. For any question please call Geri Tabako 856-665-5468.
Chances will also be at the rectory. Good Luck!!
Stewards Encourage Others
"May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting encouragement and good hope through his grace, encourage your hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word."
-2Thessalonians 2: 16-17
There are two important lessons here. First, we are called as Christian Stewards to be generous with our encouragement and hope. As God shows us mercy, we must be merciful to others. Second, joy is contagious! The joy we receive from doing good words not only strengthens us, it encourages others as well.
Religious Education registration forms are at the Parish House from 9:00am to 4:00pm during the week or by calling the Religious Education Office at 661-9489.
As you are aware, we have initiated a parish synod here at Mary, Queen of All Saints. A synod is an assembly of church leaders gathered to address important issues. In our case, it is the pressing issue of weekend Mass attendance, a problem facing Churches around the country.
We meet every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month for 30 minutes of prayer, song and meditation in church, and then move to the hall for one hour of breakout dialogue sessions. All members of our parish organizations are urged to attend, and any interested parishioner is also welcome to participate. If you do not belong to a parish organization and wish to participate, please call the rectory.
The objective of this phase of the parish synod is to pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance and to collaborate as an entire parish through sincere dialogue in order to generate a plan of action.
I will keep you abreast of all developments, and reports about the synod will be posted in the bulletin. Please pray for the blessings of God upon our synod and our parish.
JOSEPH HOUSE CASSEROLE PROGRAM - UPDATE
We would like to thank everyone who donated a casserole(s) to Joseph House in October. Through your kind generosity we were able to donate 27 casseroles to help Joseph House feed the homeless during the last week of October. For those who signed up for our casserole donation program, and anyone else who would like to contribute a casserole to help feed the homeless during the last week in November we will be collecting them on Thursday November 19th between 2:00pm - 2:30pm on Camden Avenue at 47th Street. If this date/time is not convenient for you or you have any questions, please call Maryanne Hanger at 609-560-4337 or 856-541-6225 to make other pickup arrangements.
NEED SACRAMENTS OR INTERESTED IN THE CATHOLIC FAITH?
Perhaps you have been coming to Mass with a relative or friend and have considered becoming Catholic. Perhaps you did not receive all of your Sacraments as a child in the normal course. Perhaps you know someone like this that is spiritually searching? We have just the right program for you! It is called the Rite of Christian for Adults (R.C.I.A.).
Any adult can investigate and proceed to prepare for the reception of the Sacraments in the Catholic Church in a personal and relaxed manner through this program. Please call the rectory for more information.
INCREASED CONFESSION HOURS
Confessions in both English and Spanish are offered Saturdays, after the 4:30pm Mass until the 6:30pm Mass and again after the 6:30pm. Confessions are also offered in English as usual from 3:30pm until 4:30pm Mass.
